At the initiative of the president of AYA / AGBU Sofia and member of YP AGBU Sofia, Shaghig Matevosian, in the office of the organization were invited young members and students of Armenia. On the invitation of Mrs. Sonia Avakian – Bedrossian attended Mrs. Nelly Matevosian – Advisor at the Embassy of Rep. of Armenia in Rep. of Bulgaria, Zaven Sargsyan, photographer and director of the museum Paradzhanov in Erevan / Armenia, Mrs. Snezhana Todorova – president of the “Union of Bulgarian Journalists,” Mrs. Ekaterina Pavlova – co president and editor in chief of “Diplomatic spectrum” journal.

Mrs. Nelly Matevosian greeted the audience and briefly presented Zaven Sarkisian’s art and work. In presence of the guests was projected the famous soviet feature film “The color of pomegranate” – director Sergei Paradzhanov – 1968, describing the life of the Armenian poet of the 18th century Sayat Nova by means of allegorical images in the style of Armenian illuminated manuscripts and quotations from Sayat Nova poetry itself. Zaven Sargsyan explained and presented details of the roles of poet Sayat Nova in the different periods of his life recreated in the film.

It was a unique opportunity to watch the movie “The color of pomegranate” in the presence of the director of the Museum of Paradzhanov, photographer and friend of Paradzhanov himself, Zaven Sargsyan.
